1- CHARACTERISTICS
The Solid Glass Spheres, which are completely spherical and calibrated are clean, dry and prepared in a modern workshop offering every guarantee in terms of quality and consistency.
The Solid Glass Spheres are packaged in :

Box of 24 polyethylene bags each containing 1 000 ± 10 g.

Lot of 10 pails of 5 kg with handle

Lot of 6 pails of 15 kg with handle
Shipments are packed in boxes on pallets of 1 ton maximum.
2- CONTROLS
The grading composition, determined by sieving, complies with the requirements of the norm EN 13036-1 & ASTM E965-96 : at least 90 % of ball mass have a diameter between 0.18 and 0.25 mm.
3- SCOPE
Measurement of average macrotexture depth of a pavement surface using a volumetric technique.
The method may be used on a wide range of surfaces. Nevertheless one should be cautious in interpreting data when the depth measured is outside the interval (0.25 - 5 mm).

This grading has been controled by hand, with certified sieves,following control processes created for the CEN standard sand EN 196-1.
